About Me

Hi Friends!! I’m Sarah! I’m a wife, first grade teacher, church life group leader and hunter of vintage treasures!! My life is full of the most wonderful blessings!! My husband Ryan is a tech-savvy handy man who has helped me bring my vision of a vintage farmhouse to life! He is always willing to hang things up, move things around, build new things (our farm table!) and fill the car with new vintage treasures!! Because there’s always room! Oh and he’s the best person I know! Together we have a beagle named Trip and two cats Tag and Reese! When I’m not teaching, I can usually be found at an antique store, flea market, auction, barn sale or creating my own DIY projects! I LOVE searching for shutters, doors, windows, old architecture pieces, antique tea towels, collections of white ironstone, old grain sacks, vintage dishes, scales, mantels, barn gates/doors and old furniture pieces.

I grew up in a small historic town in Ohio that was filled with beautiful old homes and lots of character! It was impossible not to notice all the old charm! Our home growing up was decorated with primitives and old antiques. My mom has always loved to shop for “treasures”. I am truly her daughter! She created a warm and beautiful home for us!

My husband and I live in a beautiful neighborhood and own a charming ranch/split style home. We have spent the last year remodeling our home and using our décor to tell a story! Our hope was to create a classically vintage farmhouse styled home on a budget!!

Why Vintage Farmhouse Designs?

Honestly, my sister in law Kaylin told me many times that I should have a blog! She always thought that people would love to see what we did to our home! I needed a little push, but here I am! Thanks Kay! J My hope is that my blog will allow me to express myself, style and faith! My dream is that I will one day be able to help someone design their home to tell its own beautiful story!!
