Welcome to the Fall Home Tour which begins in the living room. I gave this room little touches for Fall, I wanted to keep it simple. I just love the little white pumpkins and the large pumpkin that looks blue in the room.
You may have noticed our new furniture!! We changed from our leather furniture to these Pottery Barn inspired couch and couch with chaise lounge from Ikea.
I added some patterned pillows to the couch. I wanted a pop of black. The black and white pillows are from Hobby Lobby and the white pillows are from Ikea.
I love the silver tray on the coffee table. It came from a barn sale that I went to last Fall.
We added an industrial stand by the couch with the chaise. I missed not having a place to put drinks and things. It came from Edwin Loy.
Our living room is the coziest room in our home! I always enjoy decorating this room! Fall has already brought many cool evenings that have been perfect for a fire!
I'm getting excited for the action that is about to take place in the dining room with Thanksgiving coming soon!
Last year I found a strand of Fall garland from Joann Fabrics. I thought I would use it in the living room on the mantel but I put it around the chandelier instead. I like the Fall colors it adds to the room.
The plaid blanket is always a great addition to the bench in this room. Who doesn't love plaid in the fall? The colors are great too!
I added other Fall colors by using bittersweet and dried hydrangea.
Our entryway has taken on a new look since adding the old pew! I smile each time I walk through the door.
I've had my eye on this hello sign from Hobby Lobby. It has been in my cart three different times. I didn't know where it would go so I kept putting it back. I finally bought it and put it on our entry table! Love!
This year I viewed my favorite blog home tours in search of inspiration. I was especially interested in what other chalkboards would say. Some had beautiful quotes and some old hymns, but I couldn't help focusing on this scripture about giving thanks.
A few things have changed in the kitchen and it feels more and more like a farmhouse with every change.
I'm most excited about the industrial shelves from Hobby Lobby. Now the wall serves a purpose in the kitchen providing more storage for our dishes.
I told Ryan I wanted to add an animal head to the kitchen and put the boxwood wreath around it. This is when he informs me that he has antlers in the garage from his first deer. So I'm sure you can imagine how excited he was when I told him they were perfect and we needed to hang them right away! I love the mix of rustic, industrial and pretty things that now have a place in the kitchen.
Another new addition to the kitchen is the drying rack that I use to display coffee mugs. Ryan and I usually get t-shirts from all the places we visit. When I bought the rack I was thinking about how fun it would be to also buy coffee mugs to put on display in the kitchen.
The newest addition is the rug in front of the sink. I wanted to add black to go with the metal on the industrial shelves. I found it on one of my recent trips to target.
I almost forgot... our new appliances!! We recently changed out our mismatched appliances for stainless. Love them!
I added bittersweet, burlap leaves and a white pumpkin to the kitchen table centerpiece.
I'm a sucker for baskets and trays. Sometimes the things on the counter feel cluttered so I went on the hunt for a basket or tray. I came home with this basket from target.
Thank you for checking out the Fall Home Tour!!
Here are my Fall decorating secrets: keep it simple, add pumpkins, plaids and throws to add coziness and don't forget the scent of a seasonal candle!! -My favorite scent of the season is Leaves from Bath and Body Works!
